Guided Fly Fishing Trips

While KC Flats Co is just getting started, the idea itself was born several years ago. As a couple kids from Stilwell, KS, we have always shared a passion for the outdoors. From our time shooting ducks at Marais Des Cygne, chasing whitetail with a bow, and of course fishing the lakes around Kansas City, we have teamed up with the fishiest guy in Kansas and hope to share our love for the outdoors with you. The state of Kansas is well known for its deer and ducks, but few know of its great opportunities on the fly rod. The goal of KC Flats Co is to put Kansas on the map in the fly fishing world. We target warm water fish in KC Area Lakes, and Fish for Trout at beautiful Lake Taneycomo in Branson, MO.  We also apply saltwater flats style fishing to chase Carp. Also known as the golden bone, the carp allows us to share a tactic and style usually reserved for destination fishing. With all proceeds from apparel sales going towards start up costs for our guide service, we aim to give you the opportunity to “Taste the Salt in the Heartland.”
